With over a decade of experience working as a trusted adviser for progressive causes, coalitions and candidates, Joshua Henne has extensive experience in strategic messaging, speechwriting and crisis management.
In 2007, Henne founded White Horse Strategies – a communications and political consulting firm. He’s written and produced television spots, managed war rooms, executed direct mail and crafted social media campaigns. Henne knows how to both run rapid response and implement a long-term strategic plan.
A speechwriter in high-demand, Henne has drafted remarks for Governors, Senators, Congressmen, State Legislators, Mayors, Council Members and business leaders. His own op-eds and commentary have appeared in such outlets as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Gannett Papers, Bergen Record, Trenton Times and NJ Biz.
In addition to his vast campaign experience - including four successful state-wide elections - Joshua spent two years as a Communications Aide in the Office of the New Jersey Governor. He also oversaw the design of the official website for two separate administrations and served as Senior Speechwriter for one of the Governor's Cabinet Members.
In 2011, the Washington Post and The Fix named Joshua Henne one of the “best state-based political tweeters.” The Star-Ledger listed Joshua as one of “Jersey’s 40 Best Twitter Feeds” - saying “Henne puts a new spin on tired rhetoric and knows how to use twitter to advance his message.” PolitickerNJ named Henne one of New Jersey’s Rising Stars, as well as one of the state's Top Political Operatives.
Joshua Henne graduated with Honors from Emory University with degrees in both History and Political Science. He’s run with the bulls in Pamplona, played soccer in the Maccabi Olympic Games and attended far too many Springsteen concerts than he cares to admit. Joshua has performed stand-up comedy at top clubs and not-so-top bars throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
